COVID Policies

For UNVACCINATED swimmers and/or swimmers who had their second dose more than six months ago, or is NOT boosted:

1) Is EXPOSED to someone in the household with covid they must stay out of practice/meets until the 10th day after exposure. A negative covid test ]on day 10 or later before returning to swim is necessary. Please send in the PCR results or dated picture of the home test.

2) Is EXPOSED to someone outside of the household (ie masked in school), they must stay out of practice/meets 10 days after exposure. If the school determines they are within 0-3 ft of the positive covid person and they are required to quarantine other than school (test and stay), please follow the school guidelines and do not come to practice.

3) Has covid, they must stay out of practice/meets for 10 days. While the CDC allows 5 days, they then say a mask must be worn for 10 and since swimmers don’t wear masks while swimming, we are sticking with the 10 days. So they may return on the 11th day from the day of the positive test as long as they don’t have symptoms

For FULLY VACCINATED and received their second dose less than 6 months ago, or has received their booster over 2 weeks ago:

1) Is EXPOSED to someone in the household with covid, they must stay out of practice/meets until after the 5th day AND have a negative covid test on the 5th day. If they don’t test, they must stay out 10 days.

2) Is EXPOSED to someone outside of the household (ie masked in school), they must stay out of practice/meets for 3 days with a negative covid test on day 3 or 10 days without a test to come back.

So they may return on the 11th day from the day of the positive test as long as they don’t have symptoms.
